Ad'vundum

Ad'vundum is a café, brasserie and function room all in one, in the historic centre of Hasselt, at the foot of the church. Dunja de Bruin opened the business on 4 April 2003 on the Markt. In October 2020, Ad'vundum moved to the De Herderin building on the Hoogstraat, where travellers have found a place to eat and sleep since as far back as 1605. The name is a nod to "ad fundum" as well as to her father Ad.

At the brasserie you can have lunch and dinner, including on the terrace. The menu features sandwiches, salads, a light lunch known as a "12 uurtje", burgers and specials such as Bob's meatball, plus starters, mains and desserts in the evening. The café has a pool table used by the pool club on Thursdays, card games (klaverjassen) on Wednesday evenings, and football shown on a big screen. There are regular evenings with live music and pub quizzes.

Since March 2023, a function room has been available to hire for parties, meetings, receptions and condolence gatherings, with catering ranging from snacks to a walking buffet. For groups there are games, quizzes, tastings, themed evenings and team-building activities, such as Ik Hou van Holland, Hunted and a murder mystery dinner.
